Solid wood feet, finished in a deep tone, ground the piece with a subtle contrast. Flemming Lassen, a prominent Scandinavian architect and a key figure in Danish functionalism, is widely recognized for his groundbreaking designs. His collaborative work with Arne Jacobsen on the award-winning House of the Future cemented his reputation. Lassen is also celebrated for his furniture creations, most notably The Tired Man chair, designed in 1935 for the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild exhibition, which has since become an iconic piece of Danish design history.
