A museum piece. This small low seater shows the awakening of the Dutch modernism in full glory. Still a little decoration (woodcut ) on the frontside of the armrests. The two rectangular and quarter circle planks not only have a decoration purpose. They also lock the corners preventing from wobbling. I attribute this chair to Cornelis van der Sluys who is one of the founders of Dutch modernism. The chair has been restored by hand and with the utmost precision while retaining it's authenticity. Meaning that the fabric is still the original upholstery and the wood (European Oak) still shows small damages and coloring from aging. Probably custom made. Year: ± 1920 This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
