Vintage "Eva" lounge chair by Bruno Mathsson made by Karl Mathsson in 1974. The beechwood and hemp webbings has a nice patina and the chair comes with a leather cover hand sewn by Ivan Schlechter. The cover is made from the best quality ox hide. Furniture upholsterer Ivan Schlechter was the master craftsman behind a number of the very first furniture classics, which he created together with architects such as Mogens Koch, Jørgen Gammelgaard, Poul Kjærholm, Hans J. Wegner and Aagaard Andersen. Just to name a few. Designed by Bruno Mathsson in 1935, the Eva chair has become a classic example of Swedish functionalism and is exhibited in the permanent collection at MoMa. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
