Foku Modular Lounge Chair

Inspired by Japanese Zen gardens, the 101 Copenhagen Foku modular lounge chair boasts thick, arched shapes that remind of the gardening tool used to draw perfect waves in the sand. The name also alludes to this source of inspiration, as Foku translates to “fork” in Japanese.  Created by design duo Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl, this chair has a sculptural silhouette that maximizes both visual impact and comfort. Fully upholstered, Foku features plush foam padding that not only provides a supremely comfortable lounging experience, but also emphasizes the chair’s bold geometric forms. A modular lounge chair with metal brackets underneath the base, this design provides a convenient solution to attach several modules in a row to create a sofa. The 101 Copenhagen Foku Chair comes in two versions: one with a textured bouclé fabric for indoor spaces and the other with a water- and UV-resistant material that suits outdoor use.
