French Lounge Chair In Woven Boucle Attributed To Pierre Guariche, 1950s - 3 Available

Chairish

$4,000

Sold and priced individually. A mid-century French lounge chair designed by Pierre Guariche for Airborne in the 1950s. The black tubular steel frame is linear and minimal, with angled legs, a floating seat, and an upright, button-tufted backrest. Newly reupholstered in a textured bouclé weave of flax and ivory, each cushion is crisply outlined in tan leather welt cord. The splayed stance and airy silhouette offer a light visual footprint, while the proportions feel unexpectedly generous. Condition: Great vintage condition, with minor surface scratches and scuffs to the metal frame. This chair has been professionally reupholstered by our restoration team with new medium-density foam cushions, finished in a richly textured flax and ivory bouclé fabric with leather welt cord. Retains the original Airborne maker's mark on the underside of the frame.
