Born from an experiment with humble materials, the Gehry Wiggle Side Chair (1972) transforms corrugated cardboard into an architectural statement. While working in his Los Angeles studio, Frank Gehry began laminating layers of cardboard, cutting and shaping them with a hand saw and pocket knife. What emerged was a sculptural chair with rhythmic curves and surprising structural integrity - a work that bridges art, design, and architecture. Produced in end-grain corrugated cardboard reinforced with hardboard edge panels, it proves unexpectedly robust and comfortable. A defining piece from Gehry's Easy Edges collection, the Wiggle Side Chair captures the spirit of material experimentation that would define his practice. Made in Poland.
