Bauhaus Art Deco armchairs Completely restored, New upholstery Material: Tubular chrome-plated steel Source: Czechoslovakia (Mücke - Melder) Period: 1930-1939 We present to you an iconic pair of Bauhaus-style armchairs from Czechoslovakia, dating to the first half of the 20th century. This design is attributed to the architect Anton Lorenz and was manufactured by the renowned company Mücke - Melder. The frame of the chairs is crafted from elegant tubular chrome-plated steel, which has been professionally cleaned and polished. A characteristic luxurious detail is the armrests made of solid beech wood, which are coated with a black piano lacquer and feature a polished surface to a high sheen. The chairs have undergone restoration and feature new upholstery in a beautiful period fabric. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
