Iconic Warren Platner For Knoll Bronzed Steel Lounge Chair.

Chairish

$3,900

Iconic “wire” framed lounge chair designed by Warren Platner for Knoll Associates, 1966. The frame has the original fiberglass on the bottom of the frame, and the upholstery is an updated sky blue wool from the Knoll line of upholstery. From the Knoll website: In 1966, the Platner Collection captured the "decorative, gentle, graceful" shapes that were beginning to infiltrate the modern vocabulary. The iconic pieces are created by welding hundreds of curved steel rods to circular frames, simultaneously serving as structure and ornament. A graceful and sturdy lounge chair that is nearly 38” wide. Remarkably comfortable for a chair made of steel. The design came in different sizes. This iteration features a size of 29.5” high x 27” wide x 24” deep. Seat height is 19.” high. The label or tags is missing but it has the original fiberglass attachment on the bottom of the frame, which is a detail that makes this chair an original item.
