Sold and priced individually. An Italian ‘Alky’ chair designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli in 1969. The sculptural, modern design was exhibited with the Piretti Collection at NeoCon in 1988. This chair retains its original bottle green upholstery and features an aluminum footed base with plastic gliders. This piece looks amazing from every angle and floats beautifully in a seating area. It’s versatile, comfortable, and a fantastic size. Giancarlo Piretti was an Italian Furniture Designer born in Bologna in 1940. There he trained at the Istituto Statale d'Arte until 1960. Giancarlo Piretti served as the head designer for Anonima Castelli for many years. Condition: Great vintage condition, with a light patina to the metal base. The upholstery is in good condition with very minimal signs of wear.
