Italian Lotus Adjustable Lounge Chair By Augusto Bozzi For Saporiti Italia, 1960s

Chairish

$15,107

This rare lounge chair was designed by Augusto Bozzi and produced by Saporiti, Italy in the early 1960s. The model is named Lotus. The striking design is marked by the metal hairpin frame with a cross base and brass feet. The organic shaped seat with outward bending armrests. The backrest can be reclined into four different positions. The generous dimensions and adjustable backrest make this a very comfortable lounge chair. The sculptural wire frame combined with the elegant seat are Bozzi trademarks which emphasize the strong qualities of Italian modern design. The chair is upholstered in a deep purple 'Hallingdal' fabric by Kvadrat. This fabric is made of wool and viscose, which complement each other well: the wool provides excellent durability and flexibility, whilst the viscose adds brilliance and depth to the colour. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
