Kamodo Lounge Chair

Introducing the Kamodo Lounge Chair from 101 Copenhagen, an abstract, blocky design intersecting Japanese tradition with modern appeal. Named after traditional Japanese clay ovens and designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl, its minimalistic fiber concrete construction looks at the ground-level air openings of each oven to act as the seat’s sturdy legs. Its asymmetrical design and one-sided armrest conspire to produce a memorable architectural appearance, softened slightly to create relaxed comfort. Each chair is hand-painted, offering a unique textured finish that creates a singular character.
