The famous Mademoiselle armchair was designed in 1956 by Finnish designer Ilmari Tapiovaara for the Artek brand. The Finnish brand was founded in 1935 by Alvar and Aino Aalto and embodies the timelessness of Scandinavian design and first-class craftsmanship. The armchair easily adapts to different types of interiors, yet still remains a distinctive element. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
