$7,069

Camaleonda modular lounge chair designed by Mario Bellini in 1970 and produced in 1972.This piece consists of one large square module (90 x 90 cm / 35.4 x 35.4 in) complete with backrest. Originally conceived as part of the Camaleonda modular seating system for B&B Italia, it can function as a sculptural standalone lounge chair or be combined with additional elements.Camaleonda is one of the most iconic Italian seating systems of the 20th century. Bellini developed an innovative modular concept based on a system of cables, hooks, and rings that allow each element to be connected and reconfigured. The name merges camaleonte (chameleon) and onda (wave), reflecting its adaptability and soft, undulating volumes. The deep tufting and visible tensioning system define its unmistakable aesthetic, where structure and upholstery become one architectural gesture. The generous proportions and low profile enhance its lounge character, offering exceptional comfort while maintaining a strong visual presence.Additional modules are available, allowing the creation of multiple configurations—from compact lounge compositions to larger modular sofas—depending on space and project requirements. This piece has been fully restored in Italy by our workshop and reupholstered in high-quality green linen velvet, made in Italy. Each element has been individually inspected and carefully serviced to ensure structural integrity, correct functioning of the original connection system, and optimal comfort.Upon request, restoration, reupholstery, or customization services can be discussed to adapt the piece to specific interior or project needs.
