An elegant update to a Marcel Bruer original. Originating at the Bauhaus school, the MB Lounge Chair from Knoll springs from the then-cutting-edge principle of structural tubular steel. The construction originally springs from bicycle manufacture and plumbing, creating something functional and fabulous, an airy assembly of parallel metal fixtures that sweep back, out, and over. The design secures a softly curved spring-upholstered foam cushion that follows the lines of the metal and adds a natural, organic contrast to the refinement of the metal frame.
