These armchairs were produced by Cantù Móveis e Interiores Ltda. in the 1960s and were part of the company's catalog from that period. With a turned solid Jacaranda wood frame and rounded details, the seats, backs, and loose cushions were reupholstered in light beige linen, giving them a refreshed look. For a time, these pieces were mistakenly attributed to Sérgio Rodrigues and were even named "Poltrona Vivi." The original design, however, was created by architects Jorge Jabour Mauad and Osires Cunha Meale, who were responsible for a vast collection of Brazilian furniture, designed by architects and produced by small companies in the 1960s and 1970s. These professionals focused on the development of interior design and decoration projects, using materials such as Brazilian Jacaranda wood, marble, leather, glass, and national fabrics.
