Jens Houmoller Klemmensen1939 Lounge ChairThis armchair is a variant of the model first presented at the 1936 Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition in Copenhagen and designed by award-winning Danish architect Jens Houmøller Klemmensen. This variant was produced by master cabinetmaker Peder Pedersen in 1939 exclusively for the premium Magasin Du Nord department store in Copenhagen.Dagmar Design is proud to relaunch this very special piece in conjunction with the estate of Jens Houmoller Klemmensen for 2022 as part of our new Heritage Collection. All pieces are hand-made to order in the UK. The 1939 chair is available in a range of different shearling colours and fabrics with a choice of 4 legs finishes in beech, oak and walnut. The chair has a fully sprung seat and the frame is constructed from solid beech wood. It is upholstered using a mix of natural fibres and foam for maximum comfort. We also offer matching ottomans with all of our armchairs and some details can be customised. The example shown is upholstered in 'Moonlight' sheepskin with fumed oak legs.Measures: H: 80cm / D: 77cm / W: 77cm.
