Rare pair of Harvey Probber sling chairs. This design was selected for by the Museum of Modern Art in 1948 for their good design exhibit. Bentwood frame with new chocolate brown velvet upholstery. Only one has been reupholstered. Headrest cushion is detachable with hidden snaps. Probber was a contemporary of Edward J. Wormley who worked for Dunbar.
