Marcel Breuer designed the iconic S35 L chair in 1929. Cantilever chairs were a hallmark of the Bauhaus period. This model was even more innovative as the armrests were also part of the frame, creating a double cantilever effect. The seat and armrests also bend independently of each other. This copy dates from the 1950-1960. The chair has clearly been well used, creating a beautiful patina on the leather. The saddle straps have been restored. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
