Sitinut Lounge Chair By Göte Göperts, 1963

$1,442

Some designs immediately demonstrate the care and craftsmanship put into them. This Sitinut lounge chair, designed by Göte Göperts for his company Botema AB in 1963, is a prime example. A rare piece from Sweden, its shape evokes tranquility and adds character to any interior. The chair combines black leather and light beech wood, connected by a graphic metal tubular frame. This mix of materials creates a beautiful balance between clean lines and organic shapes. Our example also includes the original seat cushion and a matching headrest, both in excellent condition, making the chair even more comfortable and complete. The Sitinut is a beautiful eye-catcher, but can just as easily be combined with other styles, from Scandinavian modern to mid-century. In our workshop, the chair was completely disassembled and carefully treated. The wooden components were stripped of old maintenance products, lightly sanded, and treated with matte furniture oil, revealing the warm blonde hue of the beech wood. The brass connecting screws were cleaned and polished. The leather has been deeply cleaned and rebuilt with a high-quality wax to restore its natural satin sheen and suppleness. The chair is in excellent condition and is ready for immediate use. Width: 57.5 cm, Depth: 80 cm, Height: 95 cm, Seat height: 35 cm
