An iconic kneeling chair gets a stylish makeover that only accentuates its extraordinary design. Created in 1979 by Peter Opsvik, the Balans® chair now comes in a monochrome series for an even more elegant look. Designed to improve posture and well-being, the Variable Balans® Monochrome Chair enables users to sit or relax in a wide range of positions. The tilted seat and lower cushions offer excellent support and provide incredible flexibility. Additionally, the wooden runners are curved to allow users to tilt backward or forward. This series features matching wood finishes and upholstery colors that range from muted to vibrant. While the wood frame features a water-based lacquer, the upholstery is made from a blend of 95% worsted wool and 5% nylon with a simple weave.
