Rare lounge chair, designed by Bas van Pelt ca. 1936 for My Home Netherlands. This chair was designed earlier (1936) than the similar chairs by Andoux & Minet (1940s/50s/). The chair has a striking curved frame made of solid stained oak wood. The seat and backrest are newly done with papercord. The chair is very comfortable, due to its solid and slightle tilted constraction. This hard to find chair is part of the permanent collection of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and has been well documented in literature. Beautiful chair. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
