Art Deco Heywood Wakefield Lloyd Loom Antique Wicker Settee, 1920s

Chairish

$660

This is an antique Heywood Wakefield Lloyd Loom Art Deco wicker settee (seats 2) with a new blue and white stripe zippered cushion. Lloyd loom wicker was a company that pioneered a machine woven technique that revolutionized the wicker industry in the 1920s. It refers to a method where strong twisted paper is woven around a thin metal wire which is then woven on a loom and applied to a wooden frame. Heywood Wakefield purchased the company in 1921. Most wicker from the 1920s to 1940 was made on a Lloyd Loom. Made in the 1920s in the Art Deco style, it is in excellent condition with some wear to the paint. It will be beautiful on a screen porch, in a sunroom, on a covered porch or deck and has been fitted with a new blue stripe cushion to give it that cozy farmhouse or summer cottage look. Dimensions are: Overall: 35" tall x 48" wide x 19” deep Cushion: 36” long x 18" wide x 4” deep All dimensions are approximate, but will not be more than 1" off. Image #8 shows a painted-over label.
