The Marshmallow Sofa/Marshmallow Love Seat #5670, attributed to George Nelson, but historically designed with Irving Harper at the Nelson studio, is a mid-century design icon: 18 colorful round cushions resting on a black steel frame, very much in the Pop Art style. Vitra aptly describes this model as one of the first pieces of furniture closely resembling the Pop Art spirit, with its steel frame and colorful cushions. This color combination is rare, especially in the early production runs.
