Late 20th-Century Spanish Revival-Inspired Steel & Cast Iron Easel Back Floor Media Stand

Chairish

$158

Excellent Pre-Owned Condition. A very cool piece with a mid-century Spanish Revival vibe that belonged to my mom and stepdad. Strong and sturdy and in pristine condition, the two deep pockets will perfectly keep all of your media; from books to magazines, stylishly in order. Easel back design for placement on the floor so measure well to ensure the open easel depth will fit properly in your space. Constructed from hand forged steel and cast iron, there are three cast iron panels on the front done in a whimsical vine and foliate motif with subtle hints of faux gold leaf accents. The feet are padded to protect and prevent damage to floor surfaces. It was made sometime in the 1970s/early 1980s, maker is not known. It measures, with easel extended, 29” x 19” x 12” H/D/W; easel flat/closed up 32½” x 7” x 12” H/D/W (see photo 6 & 11); top pocket 18” x 5” x 12” H/D/W, bottom pocket 11½” x 5” x 12” H/D/W; color is raw burnished iron which trends toward a mid-tone charcoal hue; subtle hints of faux gold leaf applied to the iron bands and cast iron foliate and vine panels; weight: 10 lbs. A substantial in size piece with a look-and-feel that will complement most any style. Thanks for looking!
