A stunning original antique French Rococo clock by A. D. Mougin. Boldly modelled balloon shape, profusely decorated with scrolls, acanthus and floral swags. To the top is a large elaborate final of a stylised flaming lamp. A pieced panel to the front allows a glimpse of the pendulum gently swinging within.The dial cream enamel on copper with blue lettering and finely fretted gilt brass hands.The French movement is of high quality and is by A. D. Mougin. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock, with sound, please ask and we will send you a link.Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in very good condition with some hairlining near the ten o'clock and some nibbles around the winding holes.
