1960s Vintage Ergo 3 Bay Freestanding Teak Modular Shelving Unit Blindheim Møbelfabrik Norway John Texmon Designer
Chairish$4,140
This is a lovely three bay freestanding wall unit in teak. The “Ergo” system was designed by John Texmon and Einar Blindheim for Blindheim Møbelfabrik and made in Norway in 1960s. Good vintage condition - ready for use. It can be configured any way you want. This is designed as a freestanding system. The original owner bolted it to the wall (no doubt due to being in earthquake country in Los Angeles) and there are screw holes in the supports accordingly. They do not impact the unit's functionality. The unit is in good vintage condition with patina consistent with wear and gentle household use. This system consists of: 4 shelves (one larger than the other three), one three draw cabinet, drop front desk with original pullout insert for computer/typewriter cabinet, 4 draw w/sliding door and hidden pull out file storage, and one narrow two draw cabinet. Stamped MADE IN NORWAY on back. Overall dimensions: 61" long by 16.5" deep by 82" tall
