This three-piece set of nesting tables dates from around 1920 and is formally based on Baroque design principles with turned legs and a profiled frame. The clearly proportioned tabletops in graduated sizes and the understated construction with continuous bracing lend the ensemble a stylish and balanced overall effect. Features: - Graduated tabletops with curved, profiled edges - Turned solid wood legs with continuous cross bracing and pressed ball feet. Design: Stylistically, the set reflects Historicism around 1920 with Baroque-inspired elements, particularly in the use of spiral or Baroque legs. The design follows a clear, rectangular plan; the rhythmic repetition of the turned legs creates a vertical articulation, while the simple frame calmly frames the form. Function: Nesting tables formerly served as flexible side tables in the parlor or reception room. Today, they can be used as variable surfaces in the living area, next to a sofa or armchair. Dimensions in cm: Height 55 / 53 / 51 - Width 52 / 42 / 34 - Depth 35 / 31 / 25. Material and condition: Solid oak, with visible grain and natural patina. Very well preserved with few age-related signs of wear, stable and structurally inspected by a castle custodian.
