Set of four antique carved solid mahogany round tables in graduated sizes with intricate detailing to the apron and special dovetailed joints. These were made for Chinese export which adapted traditional Chinese styles and methods for the Western market. Natural expansion and contraction of the wood over time will cause a joint to protrude or retract, distorting a once-seamless fit. Sizes are respectively, 16.5" Dia x 29.25", 13.75" Dia x 27", 11.5" Dia x 24.5", 9.5" Dia x 22.25".
