First edition G1 Boomerang nesting table designed by Willy Van der Meeren for Tubax in Belgium in 1953. The design belongs to Van der Meeren's early work at the intersection of social modernism and industrial production, where affordability, prefabrication and rational construction shaped both furniture and architecture. Black lacquered metal rod frame with original Formica top in a light, economical construction. The boomerang-shaped surfaces and visible structure reflect Tubax's pioneering role in Belgian modernist furniture and Van der Meeren's direct, non-decorative design language. Nice original condition with appropriate patina consistent with age and use. The table retains its original screws. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
