A set of three nesting stools (or possibly three small side tables), attributed to spinetto chiavari, italy. they feature a blackened wood frame with a patina acquired over time, and a light-colored braided rope seat. they are also known with a straw seat; here, the braided rope version gives them a beautiful scandinavian look. we love the overall curves, with their slender legs. the light-colored seat contrasts elegantly with the dark base. the braiding is very tight and elegant, though it has some imperfections and a few damaged strands. This does not detract from the overall sturdiness or the comfortable seating.
