1960s Pair Of Merton Gershun Iconic Walnut Nightstands, Attributed

Chairish

$2,500

Yes, they are epic. Yes, we have the rest of the set listed... (see my seller profile) Yes, they have been misattributed probably the more than any other MCM Vintage design. Most attribute the gorgeous beasts to Albert Parvin, but Albert was not a designer. Albert had ties to the mob and ran a furniture and carpet business to decorate casino hotels, and his brand grew and distribution reached the retail market. Merton Gershun, most well known for his designs for American of Martinsville, designed these deep angled harlequin walnut babies with variations in the pulls and legs for various retailers. These are my all time favorite American Mid-Century bedroom furniture design and I've enjoyed seeing them in my shop. I take responsibility for proper attribution. These are the original finish and I'd grade the condition a very solid A- to an A Vintage condition. Finish still has it's protective luster. Drawers operate smoothly. Photos depict imperfections include sone scratches, scuffs, dings.
