Created in China during the Qing Dynasty period in the 19th century, this wooden bedside cabinet showcases its original lacquered décor complimenting its clean lines beautifully. The piece features a rectangular top with nicely distressed appearance, sitting above a pair of petite double doors. Standing out on a black ground, the décor depicts Chinese figures in landscapes and architectures, adorned with red and golden accents. These doors open thanks to ornate brass pulls on rectangular backplates, to reveal inner shelves. The lower section is made of a single drawer fitted with a C-scroll handle and the sides feature recessed panels. The ensemble is raised on four short straight feet, connected to one another through a carved apron in the front.
