A stunning antique French Neoclassical or Art Nouveau (elements of both) bowfront marquetry burl wood nightstand with distinctive marble top, ornamented by cast bronze ormolu. Notable is the bowfront door which is intricately ornamented with inlaid marquetry... a vase with flowers surrounded by and arched frame. On the interior of the cabinet is a shelf for storage and the single drawer offers storage as well. The bronze ormolu on this piece is stunning... cast lilies-of-the-valley flowers at the top and bottom of each column and caps on the front feet. There is vintage champagne colored velvet lining the drawer. The marble top is chipped at the back corners and has some pitting but is still stunning in shades of white, gray and brown. This is a heavy piece, due to the thick marble top. Because of the old and heavy nature of this piece it will ship with a white glove shipper, not via UPS or Fed-Ex.
