Pair of louis xvi style bedside tables in painted wood with a deliberately aged gray patina revealing several layers of old paint (burgundy, gray, green). Beautifully crafted circa 1900. each table consists of a top drawer with a brass knob, a central door adorned with a gilt beaded molding framing a double-profiled panel, and an open lower shelf. The interior of the central compartment is lined with white enameled porcelain, a remnant of their original use as nightstands. The tapered and fluted legs, typical of the louis xvi style, retain their partially worn gilt highlights. The two solid oak tops with mitered edges have been completely refinished by the seller's workshop. The patina has been recreated in the same style. The set is in perfect condition after restoration. Dimensions per table: h. 84 cm – w. 43 cm – weight: 10 kg.
