Like all of eiermann's furniture designs, the se 40 impresses with its objectivity and simple functionality. What is striking is the skeletal resolution of the backrest, which gives this design a certain lightness and elegance. The springy backrest is responsible for additional comfort. The base is a heavy, 4-legged frame made of solid wood. A functional detail with design quality are the flat screw heads on the backrest and seat, which can be found in most of eiermann's designs. the chair is in good condition with signs of wear and patina.
