1968 Herman Miller Eames Time Life Executive Desk Chairs In Leather, 5-Star Base

These are Eames Time Life Executive Desk Chairs, model 3474 , initially designed in 1961 by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. The listing price includes one executive chair, and we have several chairs available for purchase. Their design was born as a bespoke concept for the lobby of the Time Life Building in New York. This model is slightly less wide than the Time Life Lobby Chair. The pieces feature polished aluminum frames and have 5-Star swivel bases. They retain their original black leather upholstery. These examples date to 1968, however, have more contemporary 5-star bases. Everything aside from the 5-star base is original 1968 production. Each chair measures 19.5 inches deep, 26.5 inches wide, and 34.5 inches high at their lowest adjustable height. They are adjustable upwards to 37.5 inches high. They have a seat height that measures between 17-20 inches, and an adjustable arm height that measures between 24.5-27.5 inches. There are some small imperfections on their bases, and some wear on the leather upholstery . There is a warm patina to the leather on these, one that can only be realized via years of loving use. Overall, these chairs are in excellent vintage condition with some wear apparent. Please see photos.
