Gispen office chair model 2712, designed by André Cordemeyer for Gispen in the 1970s, is a stylish and functional design. Part of the BZ (Better Sitting) series, this chair features armrests for extra comfort. The shell is made of fibreglass-reinforced polyester, and the base of painted sheet steel. The seat height is adjustable from 38 to 51 cm via a gas spring, making it easy to adjust the chair to different working heights. The base with castors ensures smooth and flexible use. with a height of 83 cm, a width of 61 cm and a depth of 61 cm, this office chair offers an ergonomic seat. The burgundy skai upholstery is still in good condition, with no tears or holes, but shows light discolouration and some small spots on the seat (see photos). This chair is marked with the Gispen logo, confirming its authenticity. This model is also included in the Gispen book (NAI, page 140).
