Designed by Eero Saarinen in 1946. The Saarinen Executive Chair with Wood Legs from Knoll has a fluid shape with a timeless quality, allowing it to complement a broad range of established decors. Eero Saarinen wanted to create a chair that provided comfort through the shape of its shell instead of the thickness of its cushions, and this resulting chair has helped shape how people view executive seating. The shell is made out of molded, reinforced polyurethane, and the seat is made out of contoured plywood.
