Classic elegant Danish armchairs from the 1940s by Furniture Maker, Erik Bjørn Olsen and produced by his own firm. The chairs were originally delivered to the Danish High Court, Eastern District in Bernstorffs Palæ in Copenhagen. Mr. Olsen was a supplier to many famed Designers and Furniture Makers such as Hans Wegner and Rud Rasmussen and the chairs do have some resemblance to Kaare Klint's famous "Red Chair" made by Rud Rasmussen. The chairs with open open armrests are made from in beautifully curved mahogany. Nice slim elegant silhouette. Solid and sturdy construction in overall very good condition with just minor age wear and patina to the legs and armrests. Seat height is 18 inches making the chairs very appropriate for sing or desk chairs. The chairs have been reupholstered at a later point but are showing signs of wear and we are able to offer reupholstery services for these chairs at a very competitive price. The chairs can be purchased individually or as a set.
