Super comfortable, original herman miller 1977 stamped cognac brown leather soft pad captains chairs which are model number ea217/219 that came from the chanel head office in nyc the chairs came from a very good dealer in belgium, he travels to the united states regularly to purchase lighting and interesting pieces, these chairs came from as mentioned the chanel head office in new york some time ago, they have been in storage ever since this is a well made style icon of an office chair, you will see examples of this in museums all over the world as an illustration of a 20th century design classic, this chair has been in films, the highest level of professional boardrooms, its a staple of style, class and sophistication the chair has the original herman miller sticker to the bottom along with a date stamp of 19th may 1977 under the back curve, these are the most comfortable office chairs i have ever used and they will last a lifetime condition wise, its period perfect, the leather has a nice aged patina, there will be some standard leather cracking etc, some pitting and wear to the chrome, nothing you wouldn't expect from chairs that are nearly 50 years old dimensions height:- 84.5cm width:- 58cm depth:- 62cm seat height:- 54cm this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
