It features three graduated fins to keep stationery and important papers in elegant order, and a furrow to accommodate your favourite pen.Each piece is manufactured by a small-scale art foundry in Sydney, using the centuries-old technique of lost wax casting. Subsequently, it is hot-patinated and sealed in restoration wax to facilitate a rich, tarnish-resistant surface, before being punched with a maker's mark. The lengthy finishing process replicates that used by sculpture greats such as the English artist Henry Moore, renowned for his monumental post-war bronze works.The nature of the casting and finishing processes means slight variations will occur from one piece to another. Production marks may include slight pour ripples or surface pitting. The original finish will oxidize and darken to reveal a distinctive patina.
