Each Old St. Nick Ornament is created from maestro artisan Alessandro Taddei's childhood memories of stories his mother used to read him about Babbo Natale. Since 1983, Vietri has specialized exclusively in Italian handcrafted ceramics, stainless and pewter flatware, mouth blown glassware, lamps, urns and planters. Families of artisans with 3 or 4 generations of history create these special pieces using centuries-old techniques. The subtle color from a paintbrush and the curving stroke of the artist's hand are never repeated in quite the same way, making each piece truly unique.
