Post-Modern lucite ottoman or vanity seat with waterfall sides, a lower shelf, and gold-tone casters for versatility. Made in the USA by Hill Manufacturing, c.1970's. The seat is upholstered in contemporary taupe and gray fabric with coordinating welting. It is artfully integrated into the lucite frame to create a seamless, architectural look. The ottoman is eclectic and sure to be a conversation starter. The design was inspired by Charles Hollis Jones, who is recognized by the Smithsonian for his pioneering use of acrylic and lucite. He cited that his fascination with acrylic stems from its unique properties, “It’s shatter-proof, first of all. And the most important thing it does: it carries light. Glass reflects light. Lucite holds it and carries it." Approximately 20"L x 14.5"W x 17"H.
