Very rare Art Deco ottoman attributed to Jindrich Halabala, Eastern Europe, 1930s. Solid ashwood construction and legs finished in french polish. Recently reupholstered ih luxurious jacquard fabric in grey and turquoise shades with cranes and foliage decor. Upholstered in coils and horse hair, hand sewn silk rope, light wear consistent to age. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
