When Poul M. Volther designed the Corona chair, he wanted to design a piece of furniture that was in line with the principles of functionalism where shape should follow function. The Corona footstool is a beautiful extension of the Corona chair, capturing the essence of the functional. In addition, the rounded shell from the chair is continued to the foot stool, where it is almost the shell turned on its back. When the foot stool is added, the complete experience of the Corona chair is achieved.
