This leather and rosewood X frame ottoman or footstool features a dark espresso brown leather with a braided crosshatch, border detail in the same leather. Brass nailheads attach the leather to the hardwood frame. Sourced in Southern Oregon, the maker is unknown, though our research suggests it could be Swedish-designed. We did make out 'Indonesia' on the faded label on the underside, though it is nearly impossible to read now. The combination of rich, masculine colors and South Asian hardwood provides a British Colonial, Campaign aesthetic to the design, though it would work with a variety of interior schemes.
