Design Within Reach

Modernist French designer Pierre Paulin was a pioneer in low-level living - a new approach to sitting introduced in the 1960s that bid adieu to chair legs and embraced low-slung profiles set close to the ground for easy, laid-back lounging. The Pacha Ottoman (1975) is a prime example of that: Set on a slim metal base that raises it just a few inches off the ground, the whimsical Pacha cozily envelops the sitter's legs with its rounded, organic form. Made in Lithuania.
