This is a large tufted "Aana" leather bench, hand produced by C.R Laine in the United States in the 2000s. C.R. Laine has been making furniture in Hickory, NC since the 1950s, and their pieces of upholstered furniture feature solid Appalachian hardwood frames. What is especially cool about this piece is that it was custom-made, built-to-order by individual artisans. This bench has a tufted tan leather seat, and there is a pattern of brass tacks along the rim of the seat. The legs are made of transparent, high-quality acrylic/lucite and they are solid. The seat of the piece sports Laine's signature 8-way hand-tied steel coil springs It retains its original C.R. Laine tag on the bottom. This bench measures 28 inches deep, 49 inches wide, and 18 inches high.
