A mid-century modernist garden light, model 672, produced by the danish lighting manufacturer bito. This piece is a beautiful example of scandinavian modern design applied to functional outdoor lighting. The lamp features a striking geometric shade composed of layered metal plates, creating a sculptural form while diffusing light in a soft and atmospheric way. Crafted from painted metal, the lamp has developed a charming natural patina over time, while the metal shades have been refinished in their original color scheme. The design includes a slim green stem with a pointed end for easy installation directly into the ground, making it ideal for pathways, flower beds, or garden accents. Fitted with a porcelain lamp holder and a 17 meter wire, the lamp is ready for installation. Marked bito with model number on the stem. We know very little about the manufacturer bito; the production seems to have been very limited, and it’s now extremely hard to find their high-quality minimalist lamps on the second-hand market.
