Path Lamp With Amber Bubble Glass From Bega, 1970s

Chairish

$887

Outdoor bollard light (or path lamp) was produced by the German manufacturer BEGA in the 1970s. As a compact version of the taller "Cone" street lamp, this fixture is designed for low-level lighting along garden paths, driveways, or terrace walls. The lamp stands 60 cm tall and features a sturdy, tapered cast metal base finished in black. The lantern head is protected by a metal cage and capped with a geometric conical top. It houses the original thick amber-tinted bubble glass, a signature of high-end vintage German lighting. This piece combines the durability required for outdoor use with a refined modernist aesthetic. Condition Report: The lamp is in good vintage condition. The black painted metal shows signs of weathering and patina consistent with outdoor use, which adds to its industrial character. The glass is in good condition. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, Up to 250V (Europe/UK Standard). The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
